The yellows comes first— the forsythia, the daffodils, then the dandelions . . . and the full spectrum follows.
Yellow is my favorite color.
For me, it started at Fox Fodder Farm. That's where I was raised. My mother dubbed it that after a midsummer chicken massacre. I've always enjoyed her sense of humor.
... and then it was Paris, a city I loved and never thought I would leave....
When I moved to New York, and I couldn’t quite get comfortable in my own skin, I started selling flowers at the flea market and I stole the family name because it was the only one that felt right.
But Fox Fodder Farm isn't my story. Working with the people and product I've been fortunate enough to find has made FFF what it is.
I've heard it said that the joy of landscape painting is how one sees the world when not at the canvas, and so it goes for me working with flowers. It allows me to see the way it is, imagine the way it has always been, and dream of the way it could be.
A lot goes into making a rose. We do our best to minimize our environmental impact. It is our responsibility. Our focus is seasonal. We buy local when possible. We take time and care to work with people who take time and care.
